As the marketing manager at Lexity, I worked closely with the design team to help implement branding initiatives, create a stronger brand presence and promote our apps & products on third-party platforms. In addition to copywriting, partner communications and social media marketing, I helped create a more visually-driven brand through graphics, video and photography.
I implemented two major campaigns in my first two quarters as marketing manager: Lexity Goes Green and the Community Insights initiative. Lexity Goes Green was a platform to feature our customers who were promoting environmentally-friendly lifestyles and products for Earth Day. The goal was to create a sense of community among similar merchants. This idea was also emphasized in the Community Insights initiative. We issued bite-sized monthly surveys to our customers on topics related to running an ecommerce business. We aggregated the data each month and created infographics and articles as resources for small business owners.
During Summer 2013, I managed a marketing intern from UC Berkeley. Together, we scripted and shot merchant video spotlights, conducted customer visits, launched Lexity's Instagram account and gave a face to our company through photography and blog features.
Lexity was later acquired by Yahoo in July 2013.
