Social selling in the modern age: AMI as a direct sales app, community, & more
In my current role as Head of Design & Creative at AMI (Maven Technologies), I work on all creative aspects of the organization, from visual design (UX, graphic, and branding) to marketing, copywriting, and editing (blog, social media, communications). In my time so far, I've redesigned the mobile app and website, launched the AMI desktop experience, rebranded the company from Maven to AMI in 2019, overhauled content strategy on Instagram, and created collateral for over dozens of meetups and conferences. (In my spare time, I also design goodies for the internal team.)

Anytime, anywhere: The perks of being an app
When AMI (then Maven) was first founded in 2016, our co-founders surveyed direct sellers and found that 97% of them still used paper-based systems to manage their business. Post-Its, scribbled notes, stuffed binders, planners – you name it. Our charge was to create a digital experience that could replace the chaos of paper and be where sellers needed to be: constantly on-the-go.
Community IRL: Meeting sellers on their home turf
AMI boasts an amazing Facebook community that brings us together with our users to keep a pulse on what's important to them. But, we also wanted to be able to build trust and a sense of community offline. We make it a point to host meetups in cities across the US and to have a presence at the conferences of our corporate partners. We want to be on the ground so that sellers can put faces to names – faces to people who claim to be helping them grow.
